Transforming Lives is a non-profit based in New York that connects incarcerated individuals with writing partners on the outside through shared journaling and letter writing. The systems-impacted people who participate in the program are actively taking steps toward self-reflection, accountability, and rehabilitation, and many enroll in the Bard Prison Initiative. Connection is vital to their rehabilitation and survival.

A standard letter-sized photograph of the selected image will be printed and mailed to an individual who is participating in the TL writing mentorship program
